Apart from some really hideous stitching errors in the trees at the top, this one is quite nice for lighting. I figured the trees would help me stitch the otherwise plain sky more easily, but it turns out the wind was blowing more than I thought.

  • look great. I’m sure I’ll be able to use this.
    thanks!

  • It appears that the file is missing?

    • Thanks for letting me know… seems like my server mysteriously deleted it (along with all the other HDRs). It must have happened sometime today or yesterday, I’ll see what I can do…

      • it seem to depend from where you see the post… ? i can’t see it from the wp-dash, probably some httpS issue… (?) ;)

    • All the broken links should be fixed now.

      :)

Another great HDR! Thanks for making these, because there are very few sources for environment lighting for a budget blender user like me :)

I’m still kind of confused on how to use this, I’ve already een the article on this website but it doesn’t give me the harsh shadows seen in the preview. Can anyone tell me how to set up the nodes?

    • Most of my HDRs (including this one) have been taken with a fairly high dynamic range, meaning you don’t need any fancy node setups to get harsh shadows: http://i.imgur.com/cLL5jfp.jpg

That said, if you do want super hard shadows, try this: http://i.imgur.com/USN4yiO.png

Also, don’t forget to enable Multiple Importance in the world settings, otherwise you’ll have a lot of noise.
